Mission
The SCF SSLJ offers an accessible yet exceptionally rigorous forum in which current and recent space law students can cultivate, publish and refine scholarship of the same calibre demanded by the world’s leading academic journals. By welcoming contributions from those without advanced space law degrees (LLM or higher), the SCF SSLJ fills a critical gap left by traditional space law journals, which seldom consider submissions from undergraduates or early-stage postgraduates, while nonetheless adhering to the highest standards of peer review and editorial excellence.
Prospective Contributors
The Journal welcomes abstract submissions from students currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a law- or policy-focused academic program.
You must be enrolled in a relevant program or have completed your studies within the past year.
Eligible degrees include:
1) An undergraduate law or policy degree (e.g., LLB or equivalent)
2) A graduate-level professional law degree (e.g., JD) A master’s-level law degree (e.g., LLM or equivalent)
This includes students from any country whose academic programs are equivalent in structure or level to those listed above.
Please note: Doctoral candidates (e.g., PhD or equivalent research-based programs) are considered professional scholars and are not eligible to submit academic articles.
Academic Review
All submissions undergo double-blind peer review in accordance with the most exacting professional academic standards. Moreover, as part of our internship programme, SCF interns may submit abstracts and, if accepted, are paired with a dedicated mentor who guides them through the drafting and structuring of a professional manuscript, while ensuring they retain full academic ownership of their ideas and prose.
Scope
